- BEFORE YOU ROLEPLAY -
Here are some quotes about men, the Caste of Warriors, women and poison. Sparrow will sell to anyone, regarless of Caste, Job, social standing, etc. But it's come to her attention that some typists are unaware of the quotes surrounding the use of poison:
I would not have thought Sarus of Tyros would have used poisoned steel,' I said. Such a device, like the poisoned arrow, was not only against the codes of the warriors, but, generally, was regarded as unworthy of men. Poison was regarded as a woman's weapon.
- Marauders of Gor, pg. 18
This stated of an Ubar, of Tyros, whose advisor, without his knowledge, poisoned the weapons of his warriors thus poisoning Tarl Cabot having only injured him even still disabling and making a cripple of him. Then having found this out he forced his advisor to create an antidote for Tarl. Sauros laughed, 'He is not solicitous of your welfare, Warrior,. He is solicitous, rather, of the honor of Tyros. Little would please Chenbar more than to meet you with daggers on the fighting circle of Tyros. He owes you much, a defeat, and chains and a dungeon, and he has a long memory, my Ubar. No, he is not solicitous of your welfare. If anything, he wants you well and strong, that he may meet you evenly, with cold steel.'
- Marauders of Gor, Pg. 285
"Will you not use poison on the blade?" had asked a man at the salt dock. No one of those who accompanied T'Zshal had asked the question.
"No," had said T'Zshal.
- Tribesmen of Gor
The face of Drusus showed no emotion.
"There is perhaps poison on your blade?" I said.
"My caste does not make use of poison," he said.
I then decided that it would not be easy to agitate him, perhaps impairing his timing, or making him behave in a hasty manner, too zealous for a quick kill.
- Beasts of Gor
“I do not choose to meet you in battle,” said Bila Huruma. “And if you attack me, then I must either slay you or have you slain.”
“He is a trained fighter, Kisu,” I said. “Do not fight him.”
“What am I to do?” asked Kisu.
“My recommendation,” said Ayari, “would be to stab him when he is not looking, or perhaps to poison his palm wine.”
“I cannot do such things,” cried Kisu. “What then am I to do?”
- Explorers of Gor
Below is the description used for the shop when it resided in a cylinder:
Large, decorative shelves line the curved wall behind Lethal Elixir's cash register, these items are pre-packaged both with poison and without
Giant armoires are also situated along the cylinder walls. Here, raw herbs, potions and our favorite brews are kept under lock and key. Ask about our kanda-traced products. Just a trace can be used without haste! (A trace is equal to a kanda string.)
As all cylinders have multiple floors, our upstairs is used for workspace. Here is where all the magic....or tragic....happens.
There are four doors leading out of Lethal Elixirs. One door is the door you entered through, the second door has our kitchen, the third a small room for sleeping and the fourth, our gated garden.
